KPV is the tripeptide Lys-Pro-Val, the C-terminal end of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). It has been studied mainly for its effects on inflammatory signalling in intestinal and skin cell models. Some literature uses the acetylated, amidated form Ac-KPV-NH2, which has a different molecular weight.

Where does KPV come from?
It is the C-terminal tripeptide of α-MSH (Lys-Pro-Val).
Is KPV the same as Ac-KPV-NH2?
No. Ac-KPV-NH2 carries an N-terminal acetyl group and C-terminal amide, so its molecular weight differs from free KPV (≈ 342.4 g/mol). The COA shows which form is in the vial.
How do I verify my lot?
Scan the QR code on the vial. It opens the certificate of analysis for that lot, with HPLC purity and the mass spectrometry identity result.
