Kisspeptin
Kisspeptin-10 research profile
Kisspeptin-10 is the C-terminal decapeptide of kisspeptin-54 (metastin), the peptide products of the KISS1 gene. It is the minimal sequence that activates the GPR54 (KISS1R) receptor. Metastin was isolated from human placenta by Ohtaki and colleagues at Takeda in 2001.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between kisspeptin-10 and kisspeptin-54?
Kisspeptin-54 (metastin) is the full 54-residue peptide; kisspeptin-10 is its last 10 residues, the minimal sequence that activates GPR54.
Why is it called metastin?
The KISS1 gene was first known as a metastasis suppressor.
How do I verify my lot?
Scan the QR code on the vial. It opens the certificate of analysis for that lot, with HPLC purity and the mass spectrometry identity result.
